The F1 LED doesn't go off, it doesn't matter if windows is muted or not, clicking it does un/mute but not change the LED.
How can i fix this? ...

Did the latest updates inclusive bios flash. Didn't change anything.
It happens after the laptop was in sleep.
Please fix this bug / problem

When you press the key, do you get a volume indicator on the screen? Does the light go off if the indicator drops the X (meaning the system is no longer in mute)?

I have the same problem!
Have had my Yoga Ultrabook for about five months. Suddenly, the orange LED on the F1 button indicating "mute" stays permanently on (the button still works to mute and unmute, but the orange LED will not go off).
Would be nice to know what the problem is, and if this can be repaired quickly b/c I don't want to hand over my PC for more than a day or so.

The technician was never able to tell me what the problem really was, they replaced the mainboard and it seemed to have done the trick.
Since the replacement of the mainboard i had the same problem twice, that being not too much of problem. Before it was all the time.
More then a day?
Good luck with that, won't be possible ...
I had to wait 6 weeks for mine
Try doing a bios update and pray it will be fixed.

Thanks for your reply ozzi789. I really can't be without my PC for more than a day, so I think I'm just going to put up with it. It's not a huge problem - just a minor annoyance. I may try the BIOS update suggestion when I have time.
I hope Lenovo finds out what the issue is (software problem? hardware problem?) so future models don't have this problem.
To zackmuc: the Bluetooth didn't seem to be the problem for me. I tried connecting my Bluetooth headset to see if that was the issue, but my headset didn't have a mute button anyway. But thanks anyway.
