I have a Thinkpad Yoga 12 and recently I am experiencing a rather serious problem with the machine.
If I have a drive in it, it will simply not start the booting process and will freeze on the "press enter to interrupt..." screen. Whenever I remove the disk (SSD) the computer starts and I can access BIOS/Diagnostics/Etc. but when reinserting the SSD everything stops and the computer freezes on start.
This problem is very annoying because without a proper boot I cannot update the BIOS or do anything with it at all.
Did anyone else experience something similiar?
I checked the SSD in a different computer and it works without a problem.

Hanging on startup with a disk inserted would most likely indicate either a bad SSD or a bad SATA control circuit (motherboard). If the disk is OK, that leaves only one part.

Thank you for your reply!
That could be the case because the drive itself works flawlessly.
If the SATA connector is bad, does it mean that the whole motherboard should be replaced or just the SATA and power connector part?
