I just bought the ThinkPad Yoga. Overall it is amazing. I love it. It has only a couple quirks that I think will fix themselves at some point with software (hopefully, like the need to calibrate the Stylus accuracy, especially around the edges).
But one thing I was dissapointed about is that the capslock key does not have an LED indicator light! The mute key, Fn key, and microphone keys all have lights, but not capslock! Why would anyone make such a decision!?!?! Of all indicators, the capslock LED indicator would probably be the most important, followed next by the Fn lock indicator.
Please, in the future Lenovo, don't exclude the capslock indicator, especially because you don't know if your customers are going to install some other OS that doesn't have the software to show an indicator symbol on the screen.
Don't just be the best PC brand, be the *very best* PC brand possible. Thanks.

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Thanks for your feedback regarding ThinkPad yoga and I appreciate the thoughts shared.
While I think Lenovo still has an amazing build quality and the machines are tank-like in durability, people make comparisons within the same series. Many people have favorite features or design elements on a particular model, and because they value that, the design directions for new models may be seen as better or worse. I too support your suggestion regarding the caps lock indication which would be really great. Hopefully, our engineers will take the suggestions to concern while designing upcoming machines.

I agree, the Lenovo's are very nicely built. I love my ThinkPad Yoga more than any laptop I've tried so far.
In my humble opinion, an indicator LED light for the capslock key is something simple that every computer should have (it's common place), especially a ThinkPad.

I find it strange that they would put an indicator light on the function key as well. Why put it there?
On my laptop (not a yoga though) and every laptop I have used I think, the function key has to be pressed in combination with another key. Also, the function key does not work as a toggle. As soon as the function key is released, you need to press it again to activate it.
Surely the caps lock is the one key that could use an indicator?
Very strange design decision there. Would love to hear a rationale for that :-)

I also find it baffling that the indicators for num lock and caps lock can't be controlled independently.
Lenovo only allows you to either sown the indicator briefly or always on for both buttons.
However, most people always have caps lock off and num lock on and only want to see when caps lock is activated.
Lenovo's settings don't allow for having say, the num lock icon show briefly when activated AND the caps lock icon to always show when activated.
Having the LEDs in the keys would solve this issue and get rid of the annoying on-screen indicators.

two of the biggest mistakes lenovo made was to swap the fn, ctrl keys, and to remove light for caps lock. honestly, who wakes up one day and decides that is a good idea?

My Yoga 460 has the same location of the Fn & Ctrl keys as all my previous ThinkPads dating back to the 600 Series. I have worked on other brand laptops with Ctrl and Fn keys swapped and I find it awkward since I use the Ctrl key far more often then I do Fn. I was quite surprised to discover there is no light for the CapsLock key, yet now there are other keys lit up. It seems like such a simple thing, but it makes such a dramatic difference when you are at a login screen and happened to be blinking when the brief pop-up on the screen showed CapsLock is engaged.
