I got this machine new and the symptom happened about 2 months ago. I tried disable/enable, reinstall driver, without change. Besides hardware scan shows nothing out of order. I checked here and found two relevant posts, whose solutions all point to hardware problem (Replacing screen and "LCD CROSS LINE SHORT"). So, before convincing myself that I also get a faulty device and need to have it repaired (I still have warranty), is there anything else I can/should check? Thanks!

There are 2 separate digitizers and it is certainly possible that one (static discharge digitizer for finger touch) has failed and that the Wacom device for the pen is still fine. Get it serviced.
