Yoga 12.5 Signature

I have the i5 8 gig generation. I believe it's the S1? Correct me if I'm wrong!

Anyways, can I put a i7 from the newer generation into it?

Would my motherboard be compatible?

Also, what kind of ram and how many slots does it use?

I basically want to put a the working parts from a broken new laptop into my working old laptop

Ram SSD processor motherboard and touchpad since mine has broken.

Is this pheasible?

Re: Yoga 12.5 Signature

Hi Jakerat,

Warm Greetings & welcome to Lenovo Community, happy to have you here.

As I understand that you have query regarding upgrading parts from your old system to ThinkPad Yoga S1

First need your help in providing some details like -Old laptop model name & the new laptop model name as well.

As your old system which I believe is ThinkPad Yoga S1 does support 17-5th Gen processors But memory is soldered to Motherboard hence there is no Memory slots in this.

Still to confirm please help me with model names of your both system

I hope the above information helped you.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Regards,
Prabhansh
