Good day to all.
My wife got me a refurb Yoga 12.5" (20DK0023US) for travelling, so I can leave my heavier E570 at home.
Looking at the service manual, and after popping open the rear panel, I can see that there is a free m.2 slot that should be able to house a 2242 m.2.
Just want to make sure that I get the correct ssd (I'm used to dealing w/ the 2280 m.s).
The documentation shows an SSD that has 1 notch:
But according to some reviews / postings I've read, an SSD w/ 2 notchs would also work:
So, before I pull the trigger, could I call upon some more experienced users of the Yoga / 2242 m.2 for their opinion ?

Hello and welcome,
You're in the right place.
I don't have hands-on experience with the Yoga 12, but from what I see in the HMM, the base spec, and previous discussions here in the forums, that slot is m.2 2242 SATA (NOT mSATA - that's an entirely different form factor).

I'd read that post prior to my entry, as well as the manual you linked.
But you specifying that it is NOT a msata slot (and the Samsung EVO ssd clearly states that it is mSATA), sounds like the Lexar 2242 should work (even though the pin out for that device is different than what is shown in the HMM)
Thank you for the assist / clarification.

Didn't work. Don't see the ssd in the bios, nor in windows.
So what the heck can I put in there ? I tried to contact Lenovo but they won't answer me as the device is out of warranty.
