Yoga 14 - Win 10 1511 Update disables all sensors

After the 1511 Update of Win 10, all sensors (automatic brightness, rotation, automatic tablet mode) stopped working.

Installed the Lenovo transition software and made a BIOS update, it is still not working.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Yoga 14 - Win 10 1511 Update disables all sensors

Hi dice4k

Can you post the full model number of you machine?

I have a TPY 14 (20DM008UUS) and I didn't have any issues on the 1511 update, except from the download,  install and reboot waiting time.

My suggestion are:

- Check "Device Manager" and see if you have any unrecognized devices listed?

- Check Windows update for any patch or driver that is missing to install

- Install Lenovo System Update to see if there is any driver that can be updated.

- Visit the Lenovo Support site to see manually the drivers that can be updated by sorting them by date.

- On Windows 10, install Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings.

- ....after that you can go under your own risk to use DriverEasy, since I feel confortablet installing and uninstalling driver on Windows, this program gives me for free a good view on which drivers can be updated on my machine.

...that is the first things that jumps in my mind as suggestions.

Regards

The model is 20DMCTO1WW. I have no unrecognized devices in the device manager. It even has a sensor array V2 which is working correctly there. There are no updates to install via Win10 Update, the Lenovo System Updater only tells me about a Wireless Driver Update.

Re: Yoga 14 - Win 10 1511 Update disables all sensors

Hi

Sometimes Lenovo System Update does not get all the drivers that are available or that are missing to install.

I will recommend you to check the support site of your model at support.lenovo.com.

Maybe here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-yoga-series-laptops/thinkpad-...

Other, under your own risk, thing that you can do is also try DriverEasy and see if it recognize any driver that you are missing.

Did you also check that the sensors are actually enabled? They may be recognized but not activated. Also check the driver isn't disabled and read all the things under the Events tab. This can alert of any freak occurences. All this can be done under Device Manager.
Have a good day.

Re: Yoga 14 - Win 10 1511 Update disables all sensors

Ok, it seems that there is a Driver now (Intel Sensor Hub) that could fix this problem. But when I try to install it, I get an "This platform is not supported" Error.

Also Lenovo support closes my tickets because it is a "software problem".

Lenovo, if you list this model as compatible with Windows 10, why do you screw this up so badly?
