I have a Yoga 14 20FY thinkpad.
After battling all day with the track pad not working (at work without Internet)... I went to update the device drivers (when I got home) from lenovo's website.
As everything is updating - it tells me to not reboot it or power it off because it will damage my machine... And then, it goes ahead and does it itself. The shutting down screen pops up - and that's the last my screen has worked. Period.
The keyboard is lighting up so I know it's turning on and off, but that's it. No screen. F11 on a reboot doesn't do anything, either.
I wish I were more helpful, I am posting from my cell phone, and I am so frustrated.

Does it show the Lenovo screen before booting, or does the screen always stay blank?
I would hold the power button down for 30s to make sure its completely off, then try and turn it back on.

My Thinkpad Yoga 14 (Type 20FY) had the same problem. Keyboard can light up but nothing else. No any boot sign, no Lenovo logo, no bios message, and absolute nothing either on external monitor.
Originally I was thinking it was caused by some motherboard defects, but your experience kind of pointed to their bios malfunction? Have you fixed your machine?
Here is my experience
