Yoga 260 (20FE) screen rotate and trackpad issues (and more...)

Hi,

We're going to be deploying ~150 Yoga 260 laptops in the next month and I am working on getting them to image with SCCM.  We are imaging them with Windows 7 (unfortunately).

I am able to image them and I install the Screen Rotation Utility -- http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-... -- through SCCM and it installs fine, but when I fold the computer into Tablet mode it switches to portrait mode and stays there and does not automatically rotate. This will persist through a reboot.  It will stay like this until I switch it back manually (Screen Resolution --> Landscape).

If I click the auto-rotate button icon in the system tray area it will also switch to portrait mode until I manually change it back.

Also when folded into Tablet mode the trackpad will stop working all together until a reboot.  A USB mouse will still work fine.

I thought there was maybe a sensor hub driver that might go along with the screen rotate utility, but I didn't see one listed on the driver page (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-... I installed an old version that I used when deploying the Yoga 12 last year, but it still does the same thing.

In addition when trying to install the Hotkeys software (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-... the task sequence will fail.  I am using these command line flags (HOTKEY\SETUP.EXE /S /B /H /m) which work fine to deploy an older version (8.51.01) of the Hotkeys software, but the newest version fails. See my response below for the right cmd flags.

Edit -- ALSO even without any screen rotation software installed the trackpad will stop working when flipped into tablet mode and back again! (In Windows 7)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Answering my last question, I think these are the correct cmd line flags: setup.exe /LANG=English /VERYSILENT /NORESTART

Re: Yoga 260 (20FE) screen rotate and trackpad issues (and more...)

We're in a similar position with the trackpad issues.

Planning on rolling out a large amount of Yoga 260's; When using the device in tablet mode the Trackpad and Trackpoint are disabled, as detailed in the user manual. However when switching back to standard mode, they both remain disabled.

Closing the lid and reopening it, effectively putting the device to sleep and waking it up will re-enable it.

When it's inactive, I've checked device manager and the mouse and keyboard settings in control panel and all is listed as enabled.

All windows updates have been done on the devices, and we're using all of the driver packages on the Lenovo support page.

Are you having issues with the auto rotate as well?  Are you running Windows 7?

Re: Yoga 260 (20FE) screen rotate and trackpad issues (and more...)

This sensor driver fixed my issue:

Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit), 8.1 (64-bit), 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260

Re: Yoga 260 (20FE) screen rotate and trackpad issues (and more...)

I'm having the opposite problem and hoping someone can help.

When switching the laptop into tablet mode, the rotation works fine, the keyboard disables, but the touchpad does not. I have installed the ultranav and sensor drivers, and can disable the touchpad manually by going to the mouse properties, but it will not automatically disable. I am running Windows 7. Any ideas?
