I'm running Win 10 Pro 64bit with all the latest udpates on a Yoga 370. Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299
BIOS Version/Date LENOVO R0HET47W (1.27 ), 12/03/2018
I'm trying the do the critical update to 11.8 for the IME. First the update was failing to run as it was missing the file msvcr100.dll which after some unintalling/reinstalling MS Visual C++ I cleared the error. It's now failing with the error 0xc000007b.
FYI I now have MS Visual C++ 2010, 2012 and 2017 both x64 and x86 version installed.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks very much.

Ok so managed to to crack this myself by running the command line executable avoiding the gui. The GUI upacked to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ME so I started a cmd window as administrator and ran MEUpdate.cmd. It ran very quickly, rebooted the machine and all was well.
Hope this helps someone. I'd also be interested in hearing why the GUI have the problem.
