egpu+Thinkpad yoga 12

2015-11-16, 10:15 AM

Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum, My name is Daniel
Use octane render on business and need to use it on my laptop.
I bought and installed this mpcie adapter: http: //www.hwtools.net/Adapter/PE4C%20V3.0.html
Okay, Windows 10 recognizes the external video card, I installed the drivers updated.
Now I have a problem: Error 12 in the properties of the VGA (management> Device> Properties VGA)
How can I fix if possible?

I need to use the integrated graphics for navigation, the outside only for the calculation not to add another screen.

Thanks a lot to every one can help me.

really old post here but this is something i've been looking into recently, I believe that A) using your egpu with the internal display is only going to work with nVidia cards due to optimus and B) you have to do some playing with the drivers to make it work right.

This article, while not specifically for your model of eGPU, should offer some insight I think:

Best of luck
