There's no mention of secondary storage capability for the WWAN slot in the base spec:

For reference, here's the base spec of the T470 - the model discussed in the thread where you originally posted this:

http://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/ThinkPad/ThinkPad%20T470/ThinkPad_T470_Platform_Specifications.pdf

That's not to say that it couldn't have been an undocumented feature, but it certainly looks like it is not supported in the A475.

Just looking at this laptop (as I just got one off ebay), page 77 of the maintenance manual suggests it should be possible.  Maybe with a firmware update or some setting in the BIOS?

That would be cool. Do we know if it works in an A475?

Hello,

I just tried. Latest BIOS, with either a NVMe or a SATA disk alongside. It's not working at all.

Hello,

Just for letting you know: it works with a 2242 NVMe drive, not SATA.

Tested with a Toshiba RC100 240 GB (THN-RC10Z2400G8), a bit hard to find.

I can confirm that a 2242 NVME drive works as a second drive.

It only seems to work in windows.  In my fedora os, I'm not able to access it.  Ive tried various live sessions of different distros and the system would just hang.  I assumed when trying to scan the hardware?  The command lspci will actually freeze my current system.
