BIOS update

2018-09-15, 19:19 PM

I have a T500 with BIOS version 3.11 (6fet81ww)

Computer is running Win7Pro.

GMA4500 Graphics.

Radeon HD3650 Switchable graphics.

1600x1050 display.

160gb Intel SSD.

8gb PC3-1333 RAM.

Possible in the future:

512gb SSD, and a 1tb 7200rpm HDD.

Win8.1.

This computer is in N.I.B. condition without a single flaw, and runs perfectly.

Normally, I wouldn't update the BIOS in a machine like this, but it's dated 2009.

Should I update it?

If so, where can I find the proper BIOS. Haven't seen it here.

What do you all think?

Thanx.

Your machine is EOL(end of life)  all drivers/BIOS are on the below site.  Personally I wouldnt update if everuthing is working fine or the BIOS update isnt fixing something specific you have a problem with.  I bad update could brick machine.

Yes, you need to update your bios as you are using it much older version. You have mentioned that it dated 2009, so by that, we can see that how old it is and many new versions have are now available. you can have the proper bios from the Dell update bios as you can set up the bios on your Lenovo system also because the configuration can be the same.
