Bitlocker doesn't ask for PIN only when on Lenovo Ultra Dock

Dear Community,

 

We discovered a strange behaviour with the Lenovo models T460s on Lenovo Ultra Dock 2 and T570s on Lenovo Ultra Dock after my organization moved to another site with partly new infrastructure.

 

When using the above named Thinkpad models onsite with the named Docking Stations, Bitlocker does not ask for a pin when booting up. 

Whereas if the Notebooks are not docked in, they require a pin for booting up like they are supposed to. It doesn't matter where we are, in Homeoffice or onsite, as long as the models aren't docked in, they require the Bitlocker pin for bootup.

 

Did anyone of you experienced something like this or can help me troubleshoot the reason for this issue?
