I can confirm that it works without changing any BIOS settings simply by installing KB4284833, no fresh install needed.

 

Tested successfully with ThinkPad T480 and T480s.

I had this happen once - closed and opened lid and it fixed it.

I have the same issue with T480s / Windows 10 Pro, nothing of the suggestions here seem to help! 

Any other suggestions?

I have a T480s running that latest BIOS version with Windows 10 Enterprise. I've tried the windows update suggested and Thunderbolt changes in the BIOS with no luck. Unit is still going to sleep or hybernate and never coming back. The only way to bring it back is to unplug it and hit the reset button on the bottom.

 

Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

Hi,

@Thunder2010: I think that the T480s is preloaded with Windows 10 pro when you get it, and if you see the post from 04-24-2018 from shamu35, and my own post from 04-30-2018, you can see that we dont had any issues with the pro edition. E.g. try to upgrade to the newest feature edition (I think it is 1809)

 

@orsty9001: Which version of Windows 10 enterprise are you running CB / LTSB /LTSC ?, i have only seen th issue on windows 10 Enterprise LTSB

I tried the update today using Update Assistance and I got a BSOD with error 

0xC1900101 - 0x30017

Hello, I have the more updated Windows10 but the problem still exist.

KB4284833 is too old, not allowed to install.

What can I do?
