Re: Black screen after sleep and hibernate T480s

2019-05-31, 2:05 AM

I'd had my T480s for some time now, but now after the release of 1903 I'm experiencing this. Coincidentally I had just updated the BIOS before the Windows update so I'm not sure of the relation it may have? Seeing some BIOS settings can affect things that is also possible. I've updated the video driver released this month with improvement (happens less), but it still happens.

Just wondering what I should do or change since this started happening with either the 1903 update or the latest BIOS update.

Looking foward to some ideas, thanks!

I see they released another video driver just yesterday, I'll install that and see how it helps...  x.x.x.6890 I had x.x.x.6861 from earlier in the month. Unless someone knows the answer.

For those that still have this issue (I did on a new E480, running Win Pro 1903), I fixed this today on my E480.

I downloaded these 3 drivers from the support website and installed them. (Lenovo Vantage said I was all up-to-date)

Lenovo Power Management Driver, ThinkPad Monitor INF file, and Intel Chipset Device Software.

The filenames were: r0pch04w, n2hku54w_x64 and r0pmi07w.

And obviously rebooted afterwards.

Hope it helps someone.
