Can not get wireless speed higher than 72 Mbps

2012-07-10, 18:38 PM

I have the Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter in my laptop and I am not able to connect to my router with speeds higher than 72Mbps.

I am able to connect to the same router with my old laptop which doesn't even have an "n" adaptor. So It's not a problem of the router.

I am unable to find any setting in the adapter settings to turn it to 40Mhz (I've read this might me a solution).

Anybody has any idea because it's really frustrating.

Thank you.

The setting is on the router, if it supports channel bonding.

Well I thought I made it clear. On other laptops it works fine. So the router setings are OK.

You are mistaken. Your example is a laptop that doesn't have wireless N connecting to it at a faster speed, that is not possible. What is your router make/model?
