Client Security Solution Message

Lately I am receving a message on start up that says, "There was a problem connecting to the TPM on this computer." It says that a firewall may be the problem or a "missing or disabled device driver" may be the problem. What does this mean?

which firewall and antivirus suite do you run on your TP?

Also which model and os do you have?

I have McAfee running. I have a T500 and I am not sure what os is?

Download System Installer, and see if a new driver for your TPM shows up, if not, goto Lenovo website to obtain that driver.

 

Looks like your driver is either not installed, or corrupted.

 

Once you install the new driver, Go into Bios (shut down the Thinkpad, dont restart it), and clear the memory on your TPM chip - go to security -> Security chip to do this.

I think 2L82XLR8 possibly meant you should download ThinkVantage System Update
