Dedicated Video Memory (VRAM)

2020-08-22, 10:34 AM

Hello ! My name is Papa Ismaila Boury Ndiaye. I would like to know if there is a way to increase the VRam (Dedicated Video Memory) of my T530 Laptop (ThinkPad) - Type 2392 - Serial number: PK2E9ZH. It has a total graphic memory of 1792 MB and a dedicated graphic memory of 32 MB. This makes it difficult for me to open software like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Welcome to the forum.

As far as I know the amount of memory dedicated to VRAM is set by the system and cannot be changed by the user.

Check in the UEFI Setup ("BIOS") if there is an option Display > UMA Frame Buffer Size. If such an option exists, you can change the amount of dedicated memory.

I tried to modify it from the BIOS but there was no option to configure it.
