Do not see the Power Management to wake laptop from Stand By by USB keyboard or mouse.

2011-12-21, 18:20 PM

I did a clean reformat and installation of Windows XP for my t400 thinkpad.

From the computer management and in the properties of keyboard and/or mouse there s no tab of 'Power Management'.

Any reason why its not there?

What I am referring to is that I the Power Management tab doesn't appear for me while it is shown in the last picture of Method 1 in here:

I don't think that tab is available for the laptop keyboard, I've not seen it on any of my laptops. maybe it will show up with an external keyboard?

@HolyKnight1121,

Do you have the Lenovo Power Manager and Power Management driver installed?

I tested on my W520 it has the Power Management tab on the Gigabyte mouse am using and a B320 using Lenovo stock mouse, both has the Power Management tab in properties.

I have both Power Manager and Power Management Driver installed and I don't see the Power Management tab for USB keyboard nor USB mouse.

Guys,

Screenshot taken from the B320 which has both mouse and keyboard but the W520 only using mouse.

B320 is running Home Premium and W520 is running Win Pro and both at SP1 pack.

I am not sure if this is caused by Windows limitation? The screenshot I took previously was from a T410 with XP Enterprise (Lenovo office image).

Found this.

Try it at your own risk.
