Fingerprint Reader Doesn't Respond at Login Screen

2012-05-10, 15:49 PM

T510 / WIN7 / FPS 5.9.5

At the login screen, you can select fingerprint login but when you scan your finger, nothing happens. After manually logging in and going into the FP settings, (The scanner works when going into the settings.) its set to login using the FP scanner but also allow c+a+d. Why would the FP scanner not respond at login?

Another weird issue is that at the login screen, its showing the windows username and password screen, not lenovo's version. You have to click on the fingerprint login as if it is another user.

Any ideas?

Are you logging into a domain?

Type "change biometric settings" into the start menu and check the settings there...

You likely need it running at Startup when you boot.

Clear you FP library and recode your primary fingers. Then try it again.
