Force shutdown window appearing for few seconds upon shutting down Lenovo T430u, Windows 7 Pro

2013-05-28, 14:21 PM

Hi All,

I've tried finding email support for Lenovo but as I can't seem to find anything other than call centre (for UK support), I'm listing my issue here:

Everytime I shutdown my Lenovo T430u, running Windows 7 Professional, there is a Force Shutdown window appearing for a few seconds, but doesn't stay long enough to see what process is still running and needs to be shutdown. This disappears automatically and then Lenovo shuts down. This happens everytime I try to shutdown. I'm not sure why this is happening, and though I've read an article on Lenovo forums giving a fix to this problem (by turning off the notification for the force shutdown), I really would like to know what process is still running in the background and how to properly fix it rather than just turn off the window from displaying upon shutdown.

Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks
