Lenovo thinkpad t460

2020-10-15, 17:33 PM

I have a thinkpad laptop t460s, with a 8gb of Ram and 256 gb of HDD and a window 10 pro, i used to play bluestack android emulator on it and it was running smoothly until somehow has stopped from running, i detected the problem in the hyper V feature that was disabled, i managed to enable it but it's still inaccessible, therefore  and after i watched some youtube videos tips i figured out that i need to update something in the bios thinkpad setup to finish up that that's why i entered the bios but unfortunately i was unable to do any modification because it has been protected by a supervisor password. As known i bought this laptop from Germany from a guy so it's not new but a used product and i lost contact with the seller so i couldn't know or guess what would be this password that has been set by the original owner of the laptop, I went through many computer technician and they all told me you must get the bios password to us to repair your problem because it's risky to manipulate with bios because it may cause serious damage to the laptop.

My main demand here: What can i do to figure out or reset or disable the password that keeping me from editing in the bios thinkpad setup? I'm ready for further questions about  my bios version and description for who is willing to help me

Unfortunately your options are discovering the password or replacing the motherboard.
