Multiple monitors T490 problem

2020-10-17, 19:47 PM

I am trying to connect two monitors to my T490 via HDMI

This is how i am trying

I have Lenovo usb-c Travel hub .

One of the monitor is connected to hdmi of Lenovo usb-c Travel hub

2nd monitor is connected to the inbuilt hdmi port of T490.

Here is the result

T-490 only sends signal to the inbuilt hdmi port

When i disconnect the inbuilt hdmi port only then signal is sent to monitor that is connected to Lenovo usb-c travel hub.

Here is what i read it in the manual .

Its not clear

" Do not connect external displays to the USB-C connector (USB 3.1 Gen 1) 1 and the HDMI connector 2 at the same time. Otherwise, only the external display connected to the USB-C connector (USB 3.1 Gen 1) 1 will work by default. You can change the priority between the USB-C connector (USB 3.1 Gen 1) and the HDMI connector from the UEFI BIOS menu. To enter the UEFI BIOS menu, see “Enter the UEFI BIOS menu” on page 41. Open the Config menu, and then select Display ➙ Shared Display Priority. Then, follow the onscreen instructions. "

I wonder if someone else has the same problem and how they work it out .
