Network Fails, Connected but no transfer possible

Well, my T400 is making troubles again.

 

it says that its connected to the WLAN, also tried using ethernet-conection.

 

As soon as i want to open a website in ANY browser, it doesnt do anything.

 

I need your help... again :(

 

Edit: Skype works though...

Is the network icon showing connected to internet....but you cannot get any website? If that is the case, change your DNS to a better one, for example OpenDNS 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 or Google's 8.8.8.8

 

Because skype is working, it could be that your ISP DNS is slow or not responsive, changing DNS sometimes helps....

Changing the DNS didnt do something, but i found it out myself...

 

my OpenSuse 11.4 had something installed that seemed to kill Network... just installed Fedora and it works..
