Plastic film on new P53S power button

2019-12-05, 13:06 PM

This is dumb, but I can't find an answer.  My new P53S just arrived, and the power button appears to have a plastic film on it.  There are air bubbles under the film, or perhaps it's just not stuck down completely.  Anyway, this is either part of the power button and needs to be left in place, or a protective film of some kind that needs to be peeled off.  Which is it?

I have the same issue on my Lenovo Legion 5 power button.

how did you solve? Is it a plastic film to be removed?

P43s here with the same. It makes it look like microscratches on the power button. I have not dared to remove it for more than a year. However, if you take a photo and enlarge it then it seems like a sticker on the button. Let us know what you decided to do?

It doesn't bother me so I have left it on as a protective "skin". In fact, I skinned the lid and the base with a black skin. Too many grease and fingerprint marks otherwise. Plus when business travel kicks up again the TSA will be f ing people laptops up again with those trays.
