Re: T-series shipping thread - 2010 edition

I got my laptop too, same as you Valerie.

12/26/09 - 1/13/10

I was able to get it on the 11th, but UPS Canada is ruinning Lenovo's business. They came to my house 3 times, left nothing, didn't even call me. Finally they left me a notice, so I could pick it up.

I'm very curious if anyone else has gotten a t510 yet....?

I have one on order which is theoretically supposed to be shipping next week.  i'm not a fool, and i've noticed that Lenovo is not even offering them on the web site at the moment.  oops.

Unfortunately, nobody from Lenovo will explain why, and they all assure me that it'll ship next week, even though nobody in the US can actually order one at all, even with a 4 week ship date.

So: what gives?

Can I trust my 1/19 shipping date on my t510 order?

2010-01-15, 21:23 PM

I placed an order for a t510 some time back, 2e6fwv.

I currently have a ship date of 1/19/2009.

If it doesn't ship, I have to buy something else.  I need to run a business, and can't wait much longer.  I don't want to cancel if it's going to ship, and I don't want to keep waiting if it's not going to ship.

Is there anyone at Lenovo who can actually tell me whether you're shipping t510s?  And if so, when?

Thanks!

I was in the process of configuring a T510 when all of the T510 offerings just disappeared.  After calling Lenovo to find out what happened, I was told that there was a lot of back orders and the ship time was already out to approximately 30 days, so they pulled them until they could get caught up.

I don't work for Lenovo, but given that they are so back ordered that they pulled the T510 offering (per conversation with Lenovo Customer Service) untill they get caught up, I would guess that there's a better than average chance that they will miss the ship date.

As far as I can tell, Lenovo still makes good Thinkpads.

However, they ship to homes with instructions  to deliver only if an adult is present and signs.  That was not practical for me, and a portion of my order (a mouse that was shipped several weeks later than the rest of the order) was returned to Lenovo as undeliverable.  I have no idea whether I will ever see what I ordered.

Well, I ordered a T400 back on January 13th, it was estimated to ship yesterday January 21st. Order # 2E6QN6. Just recently got an updated estimated ship date of February 4th. While I'm a previous Lenovo buyer and had a successful and steadfast purchase last December. This latest order is questioning my expectations and faith in Lenovo. I can understand +/- a few days variance from the originally estimated shipping date, but two weeks more? That's excessive. Any Lenovo employee browsing this forum, answers and assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I ordered a T410 on Jan 13th. And still no estimated ship date now. After 7 bus. days, the order status remains submitted. It said ship whthin 10 bus. days when I booked the order. I wrote a email to customer service and replied as no estimated ship date.

My old thinkpad T60 was broken on Jan 12th. And I'm so urgent to get a new one to work on. Hope that i don't need to wait for a whole month. Otherwise I think I'd better go for other brands.

updated: just call the sale service phone. Estimated ship date Feb. 2.

updated#2: another call made,  estimated ship date postponed to Feb.9... long long wait

updated#3: Shipment notification received, not track-able yet. Not bad at all, i think i was too impatient. The online status checking system is too bad. But phone call services are really helpful, other than waiting and holding time on the phone
