Got my T510 and the keybord is very firm! No flexing here. I was quite scared with the buzz floating around. Could not be happier with this machine. Well worth the wait!

Re: 3-month old T400 order, no sign of dock .....

2010-02-05, 5:57 AM

This has been my 5th Lenovo laptop order .....

I ordered my Thinkpad T400 back on November 5, 2009. They shipped my T400 but there is no sign of my dock that is still outstanding. I am utterly disgusted with Lenovo.

How do I get anyone's attention? I wish I could return the laptop, but I'm stuck - so how do I get someone at Lenovo to pay attention to my long pending order? I have contacted a salesperson. They just make false promises and simply don't deliver. At this point I have 0 trust.

This might be the height of irresponsibility with this company!

I ordered a T510 on Jan 10th. The ship date was 1/27, then moved to 2/3, then 2/10. When I call Lenovo, I keep getting "Your order has been escalated to an Executive committee.

I wonder if there is some feature in my configuration that is constrained:

Re: T-series shipping thread - 2010 edition

I had to cancel an order for a T410 on Tuesday, and submit a new one to change my specifications. Within 20 minutes of being on the phone with a Lenovo rep, I got an e-mail confirming the cancelation.. That was nice and prompt, the problem is, the order stayed on my Lenovo account as "submitted," which worried me somewhat, but I figured that there was just a little time lag. I'm a bit more worried now as that old, "canceled" order has changed from "submitted" to "in process."

I tried calling Lenovo, but their support centre is closed on weekends.. how likely is it that the order will actually ship? I really don't want to deal with the hassel of them shipping and billing me for both orders.

As you have an email confirmation of cancellation, I wouldn't be overly concerned. In my experience it takes several days for your Lenovo account to be updated to show the cancellation.

Yes, unfortunately the sales team seems to be under trained, or overworked, or both. They do seem to simply tell you whatever comes into their mind at the moment as I've had so many false statements made to me that I too have lost confidence. This is particularly disturbing in my case, as I'm a long time customer and do not want to buy another brand. However that said, I believe they are forcing me out. I use mine for business and cannot invest so much of my time with zero results.

This is great to hear, as I was concerned as well. I have a T510 due to arrive any day now.

Thanks for your feedback.... :smileyhappy:

How did you get them to send you a confirmation of cancellation?

I have repeatedly asked for this upon cancelling an order and I'm told they do not send confirmation emails. Therefore I'm left with no proof that I called and cancelled?
