T400 AT&T Mobile Broadband Chipset

2008-11-08, 8:43 AM

Hi,

I'm trying to find specs for the T400's mobile broadband wireless card.  The T400 support site says there are three options.  A Qualcomm version and two by Ericsson, but the configuration page only offers two options: "Mobile Broadband" or "No Mobile Broadband".  Anyone know which card the laptop ships with?

Thx!

Hello,

please click blue button to start your productivity center.

Click on help there is a point called system information. There should be a hint to the vendor of your card.

You can also see from the list of network devices under Network Connections.  My T400 that I recently received came with an Ericsson F3507G.

BTW, strangely enough: when I ordered my T400 I didn't have an option for no WWAN card, as I had seen when playing with the order system prior to purchase and as you have described now.  It was simply ~$30 for the AT&T and ~$80 for the Verizon, so I went with the cheaper.  I ended up not getting any WWAN plan since even though I had the hardware, they still wanted 1-2 year contracts to get service :( - hotspots and Bluetooth tether will have to do.
