T400 BSOD code 3b

2013-08-27, 0:43 AM

Hello,

I've a T400 running Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate having inbuilt Intel GM45 display hardware. It has been crashed 3 times with BSOD while I was switching the screens. I couldn't get to see the BSOD code in the last 2 instances but the situation was the same. I suspect it has to do with graphics hardware or driver.

The display driver version installed is 8.15.10.2555 which is the latest one available on the Lenovo Support site.

Now checking on the Intel site, I see the latest driver is 8.15.10.2869. I don't know if there is Lenovo version of this driver and I couldn't find one.

Does anyone had this problem and know the proper resolution?

Will it be okay to install Intel version of the latest driver 8.15.10.2869? I know it is advisable to use OEM version but I haven't found it yet. If someone give me the link, I will appreciate it.

Many  Thanks!

I had to replace the adapter. No more BSODs now.
