I really hope its software related.....I'll be running Ubuntu once i get my t400s so if it is software related (lenovo software or windows conflict etc..) I should be ok.

Anyone had this while running Ubuntu?

I've installed Ubuntu 9.10 via Wubi (dual booting with Windows 7) and have never had a shutdown while booted into Ubuntu. Admittedly, I haven't been using Ubuntu a lot since the primary purpose of this machine is software dev. for Windows. Over the weekend, I will run Ubuntu and try leaving the machine idle as much as I can.

Having said that, I haven't had a shutdown since upgrading to BIOS 1.09 and PM 3.05. I too hope it's just software related, but not getting shutdowns in Ubuntu isn't a 100% test.

brickinwall, so you confirm you have had a shutdown with BIOS 1.09?

What version of Power Manager are you running?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes, I had a shutdown AFTER I upgraded the BIOS to 1.09.

My Power Manager is Version 3.05.  Sorry for late reply.

I have been using Linux this weekend for 48+ hours and no problme so far.

I still think this is a software issue and I hope it really is. I used the stock XP SP3 when my t400s first arrived for 10 days or so with no problem. And my first shutdown accured after I switched to win7.
