T420 Trackpad / UltraNav / Trackpoint problem after sleep or ultranav right click

2012-11-21, 10:53 AM

Hi,

Problem occurs after waking from sleep or standby or hibernate, and alternatively  or right click on ultranav right button (it opens context menu).

Then my left click is disabled. The cursor is either frozen or not. For the freeze there seems to be no rule, but the left click is always disabled.

I have formatted the windows, installed new drivers and utility programs and also new bios. The same problem occurs every time.

I have Windows 7 x64

I have seen many posts for issues with TP trackpoints and trackpads, but no resolution as of yet. If I am wrong, please point me in the right direction.

Does this happen with the TrackPoint keys or the touchpad keys or both? Does it happen with the UltraNav driver uninstalled?

This happens only with right TrackPoint button press, and it happens ony when the TrackPoint is enabled.

Also when waking from sleep.

Then the left click stops working on both TrackPad and TrackPoint buttons.

Any ideas?

Does the system also seem to behave as if the right mouse button was stuck? Does it only happen after resuming from standby and/or hibernation?

odly, the right buttons keep functioning as normal, i can click with them and get the context menu as usual. just the left click behaves as if disconected.

This state occurs either after sleep/hibernation, or after first right click with TrackPoint right button.
