Re: T430u now available, but...

The pictures on the review unit is fine, much better than the T430s and X1 Carbon, it is on par with the X1. It is a very good from what i can see (will get the actual unit next week).

But i did a preliminary review here:

yep, i think it is a shame that the T430u didn't come with the high resolution option. The main reason i think for omitting the 1600x900 would be strategic (i.e. not compete with T430s and X1 Carbon sale).

I have already asked a friend to look for companies that could get high resolution LCD fitted into the T430u preferably IPS.

The fan noise when i tested the machine was almost imperceivable under regular use. I will do a more thorough test on noise acoustic when i get the machine next week.

i always wanted a thinkpad with "gaming" graphics rather than the "business" graphics card. it is for the user that wants to game and a very robust "business" laptop. since not everybody that does "business" work requires 3d modeling graphics card. and a good gaming graphics card would do fine for average "business" needs since the t-series isnt for building / designing the next greatest oil rig...thats for the w-series so they can keep their business class graphics.

ALSO

on the USA website...how come I cant order a t430u with 1tb hdd AND NVIDIA graphics??? it doesnt allow for that combination for some reason. it seems to be a glitch in the customization for this laptop on the lenovo website. Can they fix it so i can make my order..?

Hey lead,

do you think you can post some picture for us to see the quality of the images that come on the t430u?

Ok sure i will do some comparison tests on image quality for you. I will do it along side my T430s, X1C and X1.

Which docking station does the T430U support - the Mini Dock or the USB one (AKA does it have a dock connector?)

there is no dedicated docking connector, so you have to use the USB 3.0 Docks.

You can see from the photoset below that there is no dedicated dock connector.
