T440S does not resume after logging off

My much cursed new T440S is throwing another tandrum. Now it refuses to resume after I log off, and occasionally, after I shut down the laptop.

 

It is stuck in a ominously grey-blue screen and refuses to show the log-in screen (where I am asked to provide my password).

I had the same issue. I ran the ThinkVantage Tools and clicked on "Update and Drivers" to launch System Update.

I did not watch the video but if your system has fingerprint, please read this as a first troubleshooting step:

Is there a reason that when I click on the link you provided, it says

?

 

It used to be available when I first received your reply. But now it has been locked?
