T440s: Accidentally deactivated Intel AMT permanently

2014-01-23, 8:45 AM

Good day,

on a T440s I have permanently deactivated Intel AMT by accident. According to HMM I cannot reactivate this option: Besides a mobo swap: Is there any chance to restore this option (maybe through cmos reset) ?

Kind regards

cdeibert

I think it is not so easy: permanently disabled. I think it applies to any other feature that can be permanently disabled (e..g, Computrace).

No, I have not mixed them.

Computrace, Intel Anti-Theft (AT) and Intel AMT (Active Management Technology) can all be `permanently disabled', at least on recent BIOS releases. I understand that technology lying behind all these products is the same, so reference remains valid.
