T440s Keyboard

I recently ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad T440s, I thought the backlit keyboard came standard with this model. However this is not the case. I am just wondering whether or not I should change the keyboard to a backlit version. After seeing this thread on Reddit, http://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/1v7vm5/the_t440s_nonbacklit_keyboard_is_of_better/ I am more inclined to the backlit version. But, in New Zealand,the CNY2014 eCoupon has expired, so I am unable to to place a new order and cancel the existing.

I have tried calling the Lenovo NZ post sales department to edit my order but I have been on hold for more than two hours. Is there anyone else I could contact to change my order? Perhaps an admin, or mod that might help? The status has only just updated to 'released to manufacturer' and I already got charged for it on my card? I thought they charge upon shipping.

Anyway, what are my options? I would really enjoy a backlit for typing in the dark. Right now, I am typing on my friends T431s in the dark (22:09 NZST), and I'm not the most fluent typist but I'm really enjoying it!

Any suggestions? Should I just not worry, and get a normal version and just turn on my lamp? Or, should I try calling again? It would be awesome if someone from the post sales team was on the forum right now x)

they could either refuse and allow for the part exchange on the production machine, you have to speak to Lenovo sales.

My backlit US keyboard looks exaclty like his replacement.  It feels ok, but not as good as my 1st gen Carbon.
