T460s wifi connection randomly goes missing?

2020-11-16, 22:47 PM

I have tried to troubleshoot this problem for a few weeks now and seen many other people with this problem but without resolve.

At random times my wifi connection goes, I spend most of my time on a wired ethernet connection however at times I need to go wireless and it's frustrating it doesn't work.

It's been a few weeks since the wifi last worked. I've tried to download the drivers from the Lenovo website but it doesn't seem to work. All the troubleshooting videos I've tried to use say to update/uninstall from device manager however it's always missing. I believe it might be a hardware fault but I'm unsure how to confirm that?

My option is to either fix this or buy a wifi dongle/adapter.

Let me know what worked for you?
