2021-07-16, 11:34 AM

Hi all, so on my T470 / 20HD0001MH, how can I figure out the max. specs (resolution and refresh rate) of a monitor that I can plug in via HDMI? Thanks!

Look at the specification in the PSREF (it's a Withdrawn Product).

USB-C: Just cos it fits don't mean it works.

Just to add or elaborate what bananaman said, according to psref, it supports up to 2 external monitors via USB Type-C (4096 x 2304 @60Hz); HDMI(4096 x 2160 @24Hz); https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_T470?MT=20hd

Thanks a lot! This little link somewhat helps, however it only gives the maximum specs by resolution, as it seems. Like, via USB-C you can get 4096x2304@60Hz, but is there a way to find out what kind of max. resolution it can provide @120Hz? Or @240Hz? Ideally, of course, there could be some kind of a table with all the possible options. Any chance of finding it anywhere?

Others do claim higher offerings with a high-end cable and display but what is listed are those tested on the machine graphics output.

No such table other than the psref but you can still wait for other user's output on this especially for those who tried such.
