T470s Fn and CTRL key swap bug

2020-10-21, 7:07 AM

Hello,

I have a Lenovo T470s, running on Windows 10 Pro. I have a Fn and CTRL key swap enabled in BIOS, it's been like that for almost a year. Yesterday (20 Oct 2020) a bug appeared - in some apps, like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, Fn and CTRL key swapping in combination with F1-F12 keys doesn't work anymore, so the only thing that works is Fn + Space (keyboard backlight). So, for the exception of Fn + Space, it behaves as if Fn and CTRL key swap was disabled in BIOS. I have all the latest drivers installed. BIOS version is N1WET60W 1.39, and I have all the latest Windows 10 updates. Is there a fix for this issue?

Thank you,

If you flash new BIOS, I think Fn and CTRL key swap will change to “Disable”, because of the default is “Disable”, I suspect your report issue happened on you have “Enable” Fn and CTRL key swap in BIOS setting.

How about the ESC(FnLock) key status in the left top concern of keyboard, the ESC is lighting or not? If ESC key is lighting, FN+ F1-F12 will be work together, if not lighting, F1-F12 work itself.
