T490 (WHEA) uncorrectable error AND >>Start PXE over Ipv4.

My T490 with Windows 10 regularly runs into a system issue. After leaving the computer unattended it produces a blue screen error with the message: Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA) uncorrectable error!

After that it usually goes to >>Start PXE over Ipv4. I run few of the diagnostics in the Boot Menu: CPU, RAM, fan and motherboard. All check out, nothing shows error.

I also tried to optimize and defragment the drive but it crashed while it was doing it. I would reinstall Widows if that's the issue, but I'm not sure. Drivers and Windows are up to date. When I entered the Bios I set everything to the default settings. I also opened the laptop and all parts on the motherboard are in place and fix. I'm afraid that the SSD has the problem.

Would be great to have some support from someone who run into the same issue...

Re:T490 (WHEA) uncorrectable error AND >>Start PXE over Ipv4.

Hello

Replacing the SSD with a new one may help resolve the issue if the existing SSD is damaged or malfunctioning. If you do decide to replace the SSD, it's important to backup any important data before attempting the replacement. This can help confirm that the issue is not caused by other factors, such as outdated drivers or corrupted system files.

Diagnostics here.

Let us know how it goes.

Re:T490 (WHEA) uncorrectable error AND >>Start PXE over Ipv4.

Welcome to Lenovo Community amigzaj.

The fact that the computer is also attempting to "Start PXE over IPv4" suggests that it is having trouble booting from the hard drive. The error message "Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA) uncorrectable error" suggests that there is a hardware issue with your computer. If possible, try to boot the computer from a different hard drive or SSD to see if the issue is specific to the current drive. I am sure that someone from the community who may have experienced the same would love to provide their insight. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

Re:T490 (WHEA) uncorrectable error AND >>Start PXE over Ipv4.

Thanks for your reply! How can I get diagnostics on this issue? Windows (C) in Properties was checked and repaired. However the same issue is happening every time I leave the laptop unattended for a while.

Do you think cloning and replacing the SSD hard drive to new one would help with this issue?

Best,
