T500 Weak signal showing in access connections.

2011-05-02, 4:38 AM

Hello all; I have a T500 2081-CTO Win 7 Pro & I have online access with Verizon DSL through a Netgear wireless router. Recently, the 5-bar yellow/green icon for the Access Connections on the task bar (which normally shows 5 green bars anywhere when laptop is inside my home) has been showing a 2 or 3 yellow bar weak signal for my connection to my wireless router, even if I bring my laptops very close to the router. I have tried to correct this to no avail by updating several items including the BIOS and Access Connections software. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue.

May sound silly, but have you checked to see if a neighbor put up one on the same channel as yours or see if another router with the same SSID hasn't been put up?
