I seem to have an issue with my laptop.  The DVD refuses to respond to an open request or power on command after I have handled it (insert/remove laptop from carrying case, etc.)  I have to re-seat the drive in the laptop to get it to work.  Everything seems to work fine if I use the laptop from a stable platform such as the dining room table, but there seems to be a problem in handling the laptop.  Perhaps it flexes, I am not sure.

To re-seat the drive, I choose "safely remove devices" from the Windows bottom task manager, then unlock the drive with the slide-lock under the laptop's drive and pull it out, push it back in (listen for "click") and then try it again.  That has worked for me so far....  Like I said, I have to use my laptop on a table to keep from losing control of my DVD.
