Re: T530 wifi problem / WAN Miniport (Network monitor) #2 problem

My solution for Wifi problem

I own T530 w/win8 64bit. My wifi card is intel centrino wireless-n 2200. I also had wifi intermittent problem as well as wan miniport #2 error. Exactly only wifi issue bothered me. The internet connection would suddenly become not working until you restart whole computer. This happened several times a day.

Now I've got my solution. Just go to Device manager-network adapter-intel centrino wireless n2200-right click-properties-driver-press Roll Back driver button, driver will roll back to previously version driver( mine went back to the 12/5/2011 version). Now my wifi has no any more problem! After couple days of running, my wifi never disconnected itself  again!

I just received my new W530 with Win8 Pro, and I'm also getting the WAN Miniport (Network monitor) #2 issue.

It happened after a particular Windows update, because after my clean install there were definitely no errors (I checked after every reboot).

Please fix this ASAP Lenovo, a yellow exclamation mark doesn't bode well for confidence in terms of system stability!

Yes, I saw that while browsing through this thread - unfortunately (unless I'm reading something really wrongly), this issue doesn't seem to be fixed yet? Even by uninstalling the update in question.

Yes, it's a bad update KB2756872, remove not solve this problem. Do not install! All other updates are fine. The system I restored from disk image, and forbade the update, everything is fine (of course you need to disable automatic updates). Perhaps it after the holidays, Microsoft & Lenovo resolved

Thank you petrmrk ...it seems to have done the trick!  I have the T430 with the Intel(R) Centrino(R) Ultimate-N 6300 AGN.  I've also changed from Windows atomatic updates to Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them ...just in case it creeps back into the system.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Twist S230u with Windows 8 Home. I'm having the same issue, whenever I close my laptop, and then open it up I have to run a troubleshooter to connect to the network.

Also, I have the same WAN Miniport (Network Monitor) #2 error descrribed by everyone else.
