Why not just increase it to 30 or 35W? Regardless, I'm sure it'd still make some difference. You can use TPfancontrol to force the fan to its highest state.

I did a quick test and forced air through the vent. I do not think the fan speed is the only issue. Rather the cpu clocked to 2.9 ghz until the temp hit 60c. as soon as it hit 60c it throttled to 2.6 and then the temp went no higher than 65c. Forceing air helped it take longer to reach 60c so it maintained the 2.9 longer but did not prevent throttling. I would surmize the fan is not keeping it cool enough and Lenovo has set it to throttle at 60c.

I can try that on my 330s and see if it make the performance any better. I am assumed it would not because the AMD limited it to 25w.

People on reddit with other Ryzen 5 powered machines pushed the values up to 45w even (Matebook D with a custom watercooled loop) and he was able to see notable improvements across the board, 3.6ghz and 1100mhz on the CPU/iGPU respectively.

I tested last night with 30w on my 330s and can confirm that it allowed it to boost 200mhz higher on all core and increased cinebench to 669. Temps also reached 76c. Amd lists 95c as the max for the chip.

So I decided to test my a485 with the same  code i added to the 330s. And uprof showed the updated stapm. It still throttled as soon as it hit 60 c. I searched the dsdt and see sections where it might be referring to temp limits. I may fiddle with them on my 330s and see what they do before trying anything else on the a485

1.14 released today:

<1.14>
- [Add] Added SSD_RST & PCIE_RST delay time 120ms for Intel SSD.

CPU thermals/Performance seems the same in my benchmarks (~580). I know it wasn't listed in release notes, but I was still hoping.

I did have to restore bios defaults again to fix the issue where the cores lock to 2.4ghz even while on A/C.
