Thinkpad T590 SSD Nvme overheating

2020-09-18, 21:11 PM

Hi,

I have a Thinkpad T590 with a 1 Tb SSD Nvme. The SSD brand is NETAC.

The SSD is overheating. In normal use, the temperature is around 60°-65°.

I don't know if it's the disk that is not good or this Laptop model has a bad cooling system !

I'm tempted to change the disk, but I'm not sure if this will solve the problem.

Anyone with that same Laptop model can tell me if experiencing the same issue?

Regards,

P43s but I think we have the same system board and internals. I'm using a Samsung NVME and went through something similar. I found updating the BIOS fixed it. It started after a BIOS upgrade and ended with a newer BIOS upgrade. Also make sure you are using the right storage controller for your SSD although that has more to do with eliminating latency issues of any.
