Touchpad t440p

2014-01-17, 22:19 PM

I think the t440p touchpad is really underestimated. I am using it for over a week now. I admit, it takes some time to adjust because it´s really different from the traditional touchpad we are used to. But once i got used to it i think it´s really great and better than the traditional touchpads. It´s very easy that you can just click the complete touchpad, no need to lift your hand or fingers to go to the buttons we had before. Just click where you want. One finger click is left button and two finger click is right button. So easy to use once you get used to it. However i can image using the trackpoint can be more difficult without dedicated buttons. I use the trackpad mainly so i am very happy with this.

Just my 2 cents :-)

I agree with you for the most part. I wasn't sure I would like it, but after having it for less than a week I'm already indifferent. I mainly use the trackpoint, though the trackpad is very good. I'm actually starting to use the trackpad more and more along with the gestures. I never use the trackpad on my R61.

I understand why it can't be done, but it would be PERFECT if you could use the trackpoint and left click with a light tap from the thumb on the pad. I mean a light tap as opposed to physically pressing down the pad.

I'm assuming T440p and T440s touchpads are the same.
