I have the same TM-2668 with firmware ID 1545510 in my T440s. Dont know, why that firmware update does not work.

Did you get the firmware from the drivers page for the T440s?

As I understand it, the firmware update was to address early models like T431s, etc.  The updated firmware rolled into production months ago, so many systems already have it and it won't install.  No need to install it.

Edit - What I said above was valid until this update on 8/19.  It appears to apply to a larger set of system.

If you have a recent system , I would make sure you have the touchpad driver updated to the latest level.  More of the improvements came from the multiple releases of the driver earlier this year.

Best regards,

Mark

Well, driver is of course installed, version 18.0.7.40, i guess this is last version. May be firmware is already in the device, but then it solves nothing, as clickpad is piece of useless component, it just does random operations, completely useless. Today i have figured out, there is some update via Windows Update called " Synaptics FP Sensors driver update for Synaptics FP Sensors (WBF) (PID=0017)". may be it helps.

Pleo,

Right, that is the point I was making.  The firmware was to update older touchpads - most of those on T431s and some others.   I don't see the firmware on the download pages for T440s.

Ahh.  We have a new update firmware just released 8/19 here.   This is what you are refencing right?

It does not update because the firmware you have is already the firmware that the update is trying to install.
