UN-docking USB port Issue

2012-08-02, 14:59 PM

Mouse work fine while  T400 is in the docking station in the office.  After I power off in the office, I take it out of the docking station and take it home.  When I power on at home, I cannot use any mouse in any of the 3 USB ports.  I have powered off and on with no luck.  I have 3 different mice, logitech, IBM and Microsoft.  I updated mouse driver.  The touchpad works ok.

Lenovo support is baffled. Any ideas I can try.  Thanks

Hello gfgalaxy,

Have you tried undocking on a hot dock instead of cold dock? Hot dock is removing/putting the machine onto the docking station when the machine is on.

This is interesting...

Try go to Device manager, scroll to the bottom, choose one of the USB port, double click to get the properties.

On the top right, at the Power Management Tab, Unselect the "Allow the computer to turn off this device ot save power".

Try the mouse again.
