t480 update does not install correctly "Lenovo Power Management Driver - 10 [64]"

2020-09-21, 12:05 PM

Hello,

I own a thinkpad t480. the laptop is constantly updated.

An update comes over and over again after a restart, the "Lenovo Power Management Driver - 10 [64]" update.
Perhaps something was done to regedit so that the update occurs again and again.

Hi, i use Lenovo Vantage and incidentally, the two batteries in the laptop do not charge, one battery up to 19% of the other up to 77%, although I always have the laptop connected to the power supply.

Hi Traceur90, It seems that this file is corrupted. May I know if this is a zip file?

I removed the .log file extension, otherwise I could not upload the file. I have now uploaded the file in .txt.

it seems that your upload function with ".log" doesn't work.

I checked the log file, it seems that there is no check for update action. Could you show the screenshot of what is shown on vantage. I suspect it is a installation history information. Do you see power manager driver to be in candidate list when you click check for update button?

I made a few screenshots, the system language is in German. Could it be that it is related to the battery at the same time. As you can see, the battery has been at this charge level for months, even though it is on the power supply. I have already tried a lot, for example, completely discharging the two batteries, removing the battery and only using the power supply. Batteries reset in the settings. It didn't bring anything.

Could you help to provide the log which is same time you run check for update?

You have two batteries, from battery detail, it  seems to be OK.

But the design capacity seems be lower than my other machines (around 42WH to 70WH) .

Did you enable charge thresholds in power?
