what is the switch beside the 1394 interface

Hi, there,

 

I just received my T400, there is a switch beside the 1394, what does it use for? and how to turn on and turn off the dedicated memory?

The switch near 1394 should en- and disable your wireless connections.

 

The dedicated can be switched through left click on your battery symbol in task list. 

On the bottom of following menu you´ll find the option to switch between the two modes.
